The 10-year Niiji/Kushite independence
The 10-year Niiji/Kushite independence celebration was in full swing, marking a significant milestone for the nation. Kingpin, a renowned warrior and leader, sat alertly in the passenger SIDE of a dark blue truck, surveying the bustling scene before him.
There were a few small groups gathered in different pockets, of the area look like they were waiting, his eyes narrowed but he really did not consider them at all he figured they would eventually enter the building
He recognized the area as the focal point of the event, where all the action would unfold. The street seemed silent with anticipation-packed cars all bout each side of the streets, giving rise to a brief thought about whether there was enough space. But he quickly dismissed the concern, spotting a designated area reserved for dignitaries of the moment. most of whom he despised for they were put in place because of family stature, not there talent, they were a condition of the seperation ageement, that Titan SET UP, between the four parties
Each of the newly divided titan nations had to agree to a special stipulation that would keep the peace, they called it the council of nine of the most prominent families, with much to lose they actually sent their children to school in Titan basically like hostages
Kingpin knew of this ageement, though it seemed a noble sacrifice,
he knew it was just a phased
He knew these leaders were more a detriment to there people than a benefit
Despite his distaste for being lumped into the same category as them he was actually still one of them – a significant figure in the unfolding drama.
Known as the Warrior, he earned this title by leading his people to numerous victories during the intense conflicts that led to the separation of Titan into four parts. He formed alliances among the
two diverse ethnic groups that had once been enemies. These alliances forced the powers that controlled Titan’s main goverment to realize that perpetual conflict and bloodshed would bring no victor, only endless suffering.
Thier collective voices of the people demanded an end, and Warrior/Kingpin emerged as main leader. of the niiji/kushite nation.
,He thought himself unworthy found as he found his thoughts drifting to the friends he had lost along the way. The pain and emptiness of those losses would haunt him, reminding him that even amidst triumph, there was no escaping the toll of his actions.
As his bodyguard and driver, Baka, guided the vehicle into the designated spot, Kingpin’s hand scratched his chin and his jaw clenched in contemplation. His gaze rested on Baka, the only person he truly trusted. With a silent exchange, Kingpin conveyed his readiness. “NOW IT BEGINS,” he announced.
Baka responded with a smile, stepping out of the vehicle. His hand discreetly rested on the inside of his jacket as he meticulously scanned the area, a testament to his professionalism and commitment to Kingpin’s safety. Satisfied that all was secure, he moved to the passenger side and opened the door for Kingpin.
Stepping onto the pavement with his notes in hand, Kingpin’s attention was drawn to the entrance of the building, nearly twenty feet away. Two imposing Kushite figures guarded the entrance, their stance alert. Kingpin acknowledged them with a nod, and they reciprocated. With Baka leading the way, they made their way into the building.
Although Kingpin could have been a king, he understood the potential conflicts such a role might cause among the elite. Despite their differences, they all came from ancient, notable lineages, which tied them to tradition. The rising nation could ill afford internal strife, as the watchful eyes of the Dreg reminded them. They couldn’t afford to become a threat to the stability they had worked so hard to achieve.
